Co - Operative Housing Ireland

Co-operative Housing Ireland is Ireland’s national federation for the co-operative housing sector. Founded in 1973, Co-Operative Housing Ireland has supported the provision of homes across the country and has promoted the development of locally affiliated co-operative societies across Ireland. The organisation is currently working with a number of societies in Dublin, Munster, and the west of Ireland. The local structure of Co-Operative Housing Ireland means that housing services are always locally owned and locally managed.

Co-Operative Housing Ireland is currently responsible for the management of 2,500 housing units available at an affordable rate of rent. The organisation aims to double this figure to 5,000 over the next 3 years. To maintain the organisations housing stock and supervise the Building Services Team and outsourced contractors, Co-Operative Housing Ireland is seeking to appoint a National Asset Manager.

The National Asset Manager will be responsible for the maintenance of Co-Operative Housing Ireland’s housing stock and ensuring that repairs are carried out in a timely and effective manner. The post-holder will be responsible for the planning of routine and cyclical maintenance and for stock condition survey.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Services, the National Asset Manager will organise and oversee all repairs and maintenance to ensure co-operative housing communities remain sustainable and meet regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including co-operative housing members, Building Services team members and contractors. The role will involve on-site supervision of repairs and working from Co-Operative Housing Ireland’s office based in Mulhuddart.
