The Christian Brothers were founded by Edmund Rice in 1802, upon the central premise that education is a necessity for the attainment of full human dignity. For over 200 years, the Brothers have contributed to all levels of education in thirty-five countries. The Christian Brothers have engaged in a continuous process of renewal and focused action so that the Edmund Rice vision and ethos become a lived reality in our world today.

Coordinator - Edmund Rice Network and Young Adult Ministry

In order to further this vision, the Christian Brothers wish to appoint a Coordinator for the Edmund Rice Network and Young Adult Ministry in the European Province. The Edmund Rice Network is a network of organisations, groups and individuals in Ireland and the UK seeking to continue the spirit of Edmund Rice. Young Adult Ministry incorporates the Edmund Rice Camps, links with the Edmund Rice Schools Trust and other young adult initiatives. Reporting to a Board of Management, this position will involve coordinating both the Edmund Rice Network and the Christian Brothers’ Young Adult Ministry in the European Province. The European Province is comprised of communities and ministries in Ireland and UK.

We are seeking a leader with creativity, flexibility, excellent communication skills and a commitment to the Catholic ethos of Edmund Rice. The suitable candidate will also be a highly organised individual who is proficient with IT and social media. A recognised qualification in youth work and / or teaching and a valid driving license are necessary for this position. The role is subject to Garda vetting.
