  Fundraising & Marketing Director

For most of us, 2012 started with a renewed sense of the central importance of our home in our lives. Unfortunately, the lack of balance which has developed in our society has pushed increasing numbers of people to experience the loss of their home, or the threat of losing their home for the first time. Focus Ireland works to protect these vulnerable people and prevent long-term homelessness. Civic society is becoming increasingly active in responding to the threat of marginalisation and division. The Irish people are one of the most giving nations in the world today and the level of fundraising for good causes is increasing. Focus Ireland is now recruiting a new Director who will lead national programmes to attract, develop and retain individual, corporate and community supporters. Focus Ireland is highly dependent on this support to ensure that everyone has a right to a place they can call home. Fundraising & Marketing Director.

Reporting to the CEO and Board the new Director will be responsible for building fundraised income to €10 million annually in support of the mission and programmes of Focus Ireland. We are seeking an exceptional leader with a track record of building income to this level in either the private or not-for-profit sector. Candidates will further possess the capacity to appropriately position Focus Ireland in the not-for-profit marketplace. Candidates should have experience in building high performance organisations and working with executive management teams, in addition to a good understanding and knowledge of the not-for-profit sector.
