Philanthropy & Voluntarism Opportunities

Temple Street Foundation

Temple Street Foundation (TSF) was established in 2000 with the sole purpose of making Temple Street Children’s University Hospital a better place. Every day, hundreds of sick children and their families come through the doors of Temple Street in need of medical care. TSF raises the funds needed to ensure that these children have access to the very best paediatric equipment, facilities and supports when they need it most. Sick children need great care right now – and that’s why TSF are committed to supporting the hospital so that it can continue to save little lives.

Since its establishment, TSF has successfully raised more than €86 million to make Temple Street the world-class hospital it is today. In the financial year ending 2017, TSF raised over €7.8 million. The fundraising mix at TSF is comprised of regular committed giving, major gifts, corporate donations, appeals & events and legacies. To continue building on the success of its fundraising activity, TSF is seeking to appoint a Director of Fundraising and Communications.

Director of Fundraising and Communications

The Director of Fundraising and Communications will have responsibility for the development, implementation and monitoring of TSF’s fundraising, communications and brand engagement strategies. He/she will identify new development opportunities for TSF, foster a team culture that is target driven and ensure all fundraising activity is delivered in accordance with the fundraising codes in best practice. The Director of Fundraising and Communications will ensure that fundraising targets are achieved and will provide leadership and support to the fundraising team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the post-holder will serve as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) sharing collective responsibility with other SMT members for delivering the organisation’s strategy and vision.

TSF is seeking an exceptional and focused leader with experience in a senior fundraising role or in business development from a private sector background. The successful candidate will be a commercially astute individual, possessing an excellent relationship management skillset and the ability to inspire commitment from a wide range of donors and other stakeholders.
