CEO - CUH Charity

CUH Charity

Cork University Hospital (CUH) is one of the busiest hospitals in Ireland with over 500,000 patients attending the hospital every year. CUH serves the HSE Southern area and the regional areas of Limerick, Clare, Tipperary, Waterford and Kilkenny. There are over 42 specialities under one roof in CUH. CUH also has the only Level 1 Trauma Centre in Ireland and it is the largest teaching hospital in Ireland. CUH conducts more research and clinical trials than any other hospital in Ireland. For a hospital as large and as busy as CUH, high quality equipment and services are essential. CUH Charity was established in early 2012 to source funding through philanthropy in order to provide a wide range of life-changing and life-saving facilities and services for patients attending CUH. CUH Charity supports a range of departments within the hospital, from the Intensive Care Unit and Paediatric Services to Neurosciences, Emergency Medicine and Cancer Services.

In 2016 CUH Charity had a total income of €978,322. The fundraising mix at CUH Charity is currently split between community fundraising, major gifts, corporate donations and regular committed giving. CUH Charity is currently undergoing a period of change and there is significant scope to grow and develop CUH Charity’s income and to further diversity the organisation’s fundraising mix.  To lead the organisation into the future and ensure its continued growth and success, CUH Charity is seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
