Dennis O'Connor



Dennis O’Connor is Director of 2into3. Dennis advises clients on strategy, philanthropy and fundraising, operating in a range of sectors from health and education to international development. He also writes, lectures and talks on the challenges and opportunities facing not-for-profits. Dennis has Co-Authored a number of papers, including “Fundraising in a Cold Climate” (2008), "Collaboration for Greater Impact" (2009), The First Annual Report on Fundraising in Ireland” (2010 )  and "The Role of Philanthropy in Funding Irish Universities" (2013).

Dennis began his career as a lecturer in the Department of Management at University College Cork. Prior to establishing 2into3, Dennis operated a successful independent management consultancy business which served clients in the not-for-profit and private sectors. In the not-for-profit sector, Dennis has served as Executive Director of Clongowes Wood College Foundation and on the Clongowes Board. He has also acted as Interim Director of S.H.A.R.E, President of University College Cork Soccer Club and Chair of Rockboro Primary School. In the private sector, Dennis has been a technology entrepreneur and has held a number of senior management roles, both as a business unit Managing Director and Divisional Head of Strategy for Glanbia plc.

Dennis received his B.Comm and M.B.S from University College Cork, where he was elected a College Scholar. He later completed the AMP at Insead. Dennis is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisers.
