Focus Ireland

Focus Ireland is driven by the fundamental belief that homelessness is wrong. Wrong because it is a failure of society that creates victims out of ordinary people and robs them of their potential. Wrong because it can be prevented, it can be solved but is allowed to continue and in doing so, undermines society. Focus Ireland believes that everyone has the right to a place they can call home.

Focus Ireland was founded by Sr. Stanislaus Kennedy in 1985. Since its foundation, Focus Ireland has continued to grow and its research and advocacy work ensures that the rights of people who are homeless remain on the political agenda. Focus Ireland has over 70 services and housing projects across Ireland including in Dublin, Waterford, Kilkenny, Cork, Sligo and Limerick which, in 2016, assisted over 13,000 people.

The organisation has a fundraising team which works across a range of areas, including Corporate Fundraising, Major Donor Fundraising and Public Fundraising.

Focus Ireland is seeking to add a driven graduate trainee to its Corporate & Major Donor Fundraising team in order to support the organisations fundraising activities. The trainee will play a crucial role in the Corporate & Major Donor Fundraising team by assisting the Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager and the senior management team in securing donations from corporates and major donors and assisting in every stage of the donor cultivation process.
