Inclusion is a national voluntary organisation that promotes the rights, independence, dignity and equality of people with an intellectual disability. Its mission is to be the independent champion of people with an intellectual disability and their families whose standing and expertise is acknowledged throughout the country. Inclusion Ireland envisions a nation where people with an intellectual disability have their voices heard, are not isolated or segregated and can lead more independent and healthier lives.
Inclusion Ireland is committed to eliminating discrimination, promoting equality of opportunity and protecting the rights of people with intellectual disabilities. The organisation uses the compass of the UN Convention on the Rights of Person with Disabilities (UNCRPD) as the prism through which it conducts its work. To protect and assert the organisation’s position as an independent advocate for persons with an intellectual disability and families of persons with an intellectual disability, Inclusion Ireland are seeking to appoint a new CEO.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strong leadership to the organisation, serving as its ambassador and strategic influencer externally by building relationships with stakeholders in politics, the media and business. The CEO will be responsible for day-to-day management of the organisation and ensuring that Inclusion Ireland’s goals and objectives are achieved.
Inclusion Ireland are seeking an energetic and dynamic leader with a strong management skillset, a strategic mindset and experience working in a multifaceted role alongside boards or committees. The incoming CEO will have a strong understanding of governance, motivating staff and be comfortable with achieving performance related targets to ensure that the Inclusion Ireland reaches its full potential. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors in outlining the organisation’s future strategy to successfully deliver its implementation. Applications from leaders in the not-for-profit, private or public sector are welcome.
If you are a determined leader looking to make a contribution to the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, then contact Dennis O’Connor in strictest confidence or call direct on +353-1-234-3184. The closing date for applications is the 1st of March.
