Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI) is the national federation for the co-operative housing movement. Founded in 1973, CHI has supported the provision of homes across the country and promoted the development of affiliated local co-operative societies across Ireland. CHI currently employs approximately 80 staff and is responsible for the management of more than 2,750 homes through a network of local co-operatives.

CHI is committed to leading the development of social, economic, and environmental sustainability in Ireland through co-operative effort and the provision of co-operative housing. CHI does this by leading the growth of co-operative housing, building sustainable co-operative communities, developing co-operative leadership, raising its own capacity and continually representing the co-operative housing movement.

CHI is now seeking to recruit a Marketing Officer.

 

Marketing Officer

Reporting to the Policy and Communications Manager and working in conjunction with the Head of Corporate Services, the Marketing Officer will deliver CHI’s Marketing Strategy. The Marketing Officer will manage the promotion and development of CHI’s brand and will be responsible for the development of CHI’s annual reports, managing relationships with suppliers and ensuring that CHI can maximises the return on investment from its marketing functions.

The successful candidate will have a relevant third level qualification and 2-3 years’ experience of working in a similar environment. They will have outstanding IT skills with a strong understanding of website management, Search Engine Optimisation, social media platform management and possess excellent report writing skills.

The post-holder will have experience in the management of external contractors and suppliers, and a proven ability to work on own initiative within a flexible, co-operative team structure. The Marketing Officer will be solution-focused, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups. Additionally, the post-holder will be self-motivated and passionate about CHI’s purpose and will continually act in the best interests of the organisation.
